Why NZAAG

Experience behind the standard.

NZAAG was formed by experienced, qualified asbestos industry leaders committed to raising standards and protecting New Zealanders.

Working alongside BRANZ and WorkSafe New Zealand, members of NZAAG contributed their industry knowledge to the Approved Code of Practice for the Management and Removal of Asbestos.

The ACOP is the central best-practice document covering asbestos identification, management, removal and the responsibilities of those who manage or control workplaces. Our subscription helps translate that guidance into clear, practical information for everyday decisions.

Independent by purposeBecause we do not carry out removal work, our focus remains on sound advice, competent practice and protecting people.

Who we are here for

Protecting those most likely to encounter asbestos.

For trades

Pause before you disturb it.

Builders, electricians, plumbers, roofers, flooring installers and maintenance teams can encounter hidden asbestos during ordinary work. Good information before drilling, cutting or demolition can prevent exposure and protect an entire worksite.

For homeowners

Know what you are dealing with.

Renovating an older home can uncover asbestos in cladding, roofing, ceilings, flooring, insulation and other products. We help owners understand when to stop, when testing is needed and how to find competent help.

For duty holders

Meet your responsibilities.

Businesses, schools, landlords and property managers need reliable systems for identifying, recording and managing asbestos. Clear guidance helps protect workers, visitors, tenants and contractors.
