Competent people authorised to sample suspected ACM.

Core procedure

Four essential steps

1. 01

   Review the area, sampling plan and required controls before touching the material.

2. 02

   Restrict access, wear suitable PPE and RPE, and use controlled sampling methods that minimise breakage and dust.

3. 03

   Seal the sample point and package, label and secure each sample.

4. 04

   Complete the sample record and chain of custody, then arrange analysis by an accredited laboratory.
